@davebriggswife got me a beard trimmer for Christmas. My shaving has
got progressively worse in the last few years - in 2008 I went to once
a week, and in the last half of 2009 it was more like once a month.

This is entirely down to laziness and nothing - as anyone who has
actually met me will attest - to do with style.

In fear of what 2010 might bring, the beard trimmer will hopefully
keep things to a manageable stubbly length without the hassle of a
full blown shave.

In this photo, the boy has joined me, with one of his stocking-fillers
- one of those weird squashy face finger puppet things. It's hard to
get him to smile in photos, so I am pleased he looks so cheerful in
this one.
